if u can make a OEM style CF HT for 2700 in a 1x1 weave....that would b the shiznit!! and using the oem latches to make it fit like an oem would a nice touch...
keep in mind to use plexiglass for the rear window instead of the stock glass...that would make no sense to have an all CF HT w/ glass...IMO it defeats the purpose

well....i feel its a better idea to use plexiglass or lexan or something like that to keep the weight down...i mean the entire purpose to having a CF HT is weight...y reuse the stock glass???...i dont even think the mugen HT has glass window...
check out this company for help on the lexan rear window: FAL rear window
http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html...e-windows.html
yes is does scratch but u can easily fix that with some cleaner...
how much is this HT gonna cost??? and if u did add a inside liner make this as an option

How can it possibly be a ton lighter then stock? I just don't think you should be throwing statements like that out. The Mugen CF Hardtop with a plex window is only around 10lbs lighter then stock. The stock is aluminum so it's pretty damn light to begin with.
BTW, Tim, not Cadillac. More in line with Dodge Viper race teams, John Roush's race teams, Tommy Hilfiger. He's also done stuff for Acura and Ferrari among various other speedboat teams and quarter mile drag cars.

well it's a kind of exageration not saying it's 2000lb lighter you know(hardtop). but i've heard from this place they can make a stock hood(stock hood) weight about 5lbish. so i was taking that into consideration(for both this they weigh around the same). oem Hardtop weighs at 44lb's

Wait, I don't understand what you are saying. Are you trying to tell me they will make the hardtop weigh in at around 5lbs? Should I just start rolling on the floor laughing my head of now?
A perfect fitting hood will cost apx $1350.00 retail in dry cf
NOthing on the hardtop till I get the loaner I am going to borrow in a few weeks (this is still azndrunkyoons project I was helping him with)
