Talking AUX interface for Stock Radio $45

I have for sale one AUX interface designed for the stock Honda Radio. It connects to the changer control port at the rear of the stock radio. It is offered for sale for $40. Now $45 including shipping to anywhere in continental US.

It made keeping the stock unit bearable and was used less than a year. Since I recently upgraded my head unit I do not need it.

Here is information from Crutchfield about the device:

Precision Interface Electronics HON98-AUX
Connect a portable music player, satellite
radio tuner, or DVD player to your factory
Honda receiver!
Item #469HO98AUX
$59.99

The manual is available for download from Crutchfield and will answer any questions you may have.

Overview: DPXTM Auxiliary input converters by PIE (Precision Interface Electronics) are designed to convert the CD Changer port of the OEM radio (with CD Changer controls) into an auxiliary input. Devices such as Satellite Radios, DVD Players, VCRs, MP3 Players, and Game Systems can be added the the OEM radio without an FM Modulator. DPXTM Technology maintains full function of all factory steering wheel and rear seat controls.

Compatibility: The HON98-AUX allows you to add an auxiliary input to the factory radio in select Honda vehicles. The adapter plugs into the factory system using the supplied cable, avoiding wire splicing and modifications.

Note: The adapter takes the place of the CD changer, so you cannot have a CD changer and the adapter connected to your vehicle at the same time.

Mounting: The adapter can be secured to any flat surface.

Connections: The adapter has two RCA (left and right audio) inputs on one side. On the other side, the adapter has a rectangular 10-pin jack that interfaces with the supplied cable. The adapter end of the cable has the 10-pin plug and the other end has a rectangular 14-pin plug which plugs into the factory radio.

Will do $45 including shipping to all interested parties. Will also include cable with male RCA to 3.5mm plug, to save you a trip to Radio Shack.

Just to explain further, this device uses the same port as the CD changer. So if you have a changer, keep it. Both will not work.

Where are you located? If you plan on using an Ipod, do you control using the Ipod or the head-unit? Do you have to setup playlists, etc.?

It won't work for anything 04 and newer. Honda switch the radios in 04. The part your looking for is double that, approx $100.

This is the one your looking for: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/sounsnhond3.html

I got mine off of Ebay for $80 shipped.

BTW, this thing really does make a difference if you want to hook up an auxillary device to your stock stereo. I was using the FM modulator in my Roady2 and this is WORLDS better and I don't have to keep finding an unused frequency anymore

For more details about fitment. I do recommend you vist the Crutchfield.com site. A lot of good stuff and you can download the owner's manual. I only know that it works with 2000-2003. Crutchfield can give you more info.

I don't think that Honda changed the CD changer so it might fit the newer models.... but just to be sure to do a thorough search.
