Thumbs up For those with C-West front fenders...

I would like to get some aftermarket front fenders, but I don't want to get fenders which signficantly increase the width (like the J's Racing). The C-West fenders increase the width by 10mm, which sounds about perfect to me. The pics I have found of them on Bulletproof Automotive's website aren't very good. For anyone on this website that has these fenders, can you please:

1. provide pics
2. tell me how the fitment is

Thanks in advance!

I talked to alot of people about these fenders because I wanted them myself. They increase the width 20mm (10mm each side) and are very fragile. Fitment is top notch. Remember painting them is very expensive.

Why are they so fragile? Are they dry carbon? Sure would be nice if they offered them in FRP.

They are not dry carbon. They are a carbon-poly blend. If they were dry carbon they would be stronger. They are fragile because the material is so thin. They are race parts.

Their not dry carbon, but they are some carbon composite (polyester carbon composite). C-west wont offer them in FRP due to weight.

And that material is more brittle than dry carbon? FRP wouldn't be too much heavier than the PCC, and would be lighter than the OEM fenders. Why would it cost a lot to paint these? Would there be a lot of sanding involved in order to prep them for paint? Primering them shouldn't be a big deal.

i always thought it was because the paint really doesn't stick well to the material and since their so thin they flex alot so the paint would develop cracks or spider marks in it.

I bit of flex agent would help out on that.
