SPOON TAI front intake compatability
Just put my new SPOON TAI front on and im looking for an intake.
I found out that the spoon tai snorkel will not clear the oem hood and also you have to remove the oem bumper support brace. Im scared to remove the brace due to my car being daily driven and in a front accident that thing would absord most of the damage.
So on another not, anyone know what intakes will work with the spoon bumper?
I know the gruppe-m will, and im pretty sure the HKS will.
Will the Mugen CAI work? Do you have to remove the bumper brace for the mugen intake?
Will the j's intake work? Im not sure if the lower portion of the snorkel will clear the air dam the spoon bumper has.

whats stopping you using a regular snorkel - wont it just fall lower into the grill as opposed to the air duct?

the spoon bumper has an air dam channel. im not sure if I would have to cut it or not to clear a normal snorkel.
what does the bumper look like from behind?
I remember "SDEUCE" changed from a regular spoon snorkel to the tai verson with this bumper - but not sure whether that was through necessity (ie the old one wouldnt fit), or just for the sake of "doing it right"
Otherwise, do as luke mentioned, get some "Frankie Special Intakes" made

Go AEM and fool them all.
I want something thats going to work in driving conditions. A snorkel will benefit me more than the AEM.
