Default Spoon Lightweight Battery...

Anyone here using it, ever had any problems with it? Regret buying it? Or is it just as functional and dependable as the stock battery?
Wondering cuz I might just get one.

Get the Braille battery before you get that.

I have a Feel's battery which is very similar to the Spoon one. If you have a trunk system, or are forgetful in turning your headlights off, I'd recommend against it and get in line behind everyone else trying to get the next gen Optima yellow top.

From what I've heard the Spoon batteries are no good but for track use. Awhile ago an S owner featured in Honda Tuning remarked that he wished he didn't buy it, others here feel the same way. Choose another brand.

apparantly some guys have told me the light weight batteries arn't practicle for a street car because they tend to die faster.

light weight = smaller cells
smaller cells = less life

get a lawn mower battery, seriously

my friend is running one on his 3000GT VR4 and it has no problems starting the car, and is much smaller than your avg. car battery

On my previous cars I always switched to the miata battery. Light, small, and pretty good. Not sure what the weight difference is to the S2000 but compared to my eclipse, colorado, and old civic... it was lighter.

I'm using a 6lb motorcycle battery in my CRX auto-x car. Granted my CRX doesn't have AC or a radio but it works just like a normal battery. It saves about 30lbs too.

It always starts the car and I don't have a problem with my head lights or any other accessory.

Odyssey PC680MJT,

It's god's gift to S2K batteries. I love mine like crazy. And it weighs 13.4 lbs.
