Wow I didn't know Seibon was so shitty. I was going to purchase a CF trunk lid from Seibon becuse I heard it was a good product. I guess I'll have to get a C-Wings CF trunk lid. I know they make great products cause I had a CF hood on my Sentra
C-Wings is just as bad, if not worse than Seibon. Also made in Taiwan with the cheapest materials available. I actually know a few former employees of C-Wings personally so I've seen the inner working of the company and know alot about the junk they produce. Let's just say that their stuff must be pretty bad when they have to rush it in from the pickup vehicles because the heat from the sun actually causes their products to sag and lose shape. It's scary how many horror stories I've heard about their stuff...i wouldn't trust it at all...

FRP mugen is just black FRP underneath. and the CF, well is just CF

I have currently the mugen CF and OEM ht and sold the frp mugen to jsap1. All three are good. Can't say anything about seibon.

And i weighted the Mugen CF personally. With all hardware attached (window, levers, softop holder bracket) comes out to 29lb even.
The Mugen cf I think will be too good for the abuse i'm planning at the track... So i'll go with the frp top for now. Someone mentioned that you race also, do you use the cf top at the track or the oem?

thank god.. i havent buy any of their stuff! people just buy they real-deal, more likely imitations are only a few $$$ lesser then the actual product

for example, awhile ago i accidentally brought the "style" sidemarkers for $25, on the 1st day installing it, the lock BROKE! then i brought the real ones for $40, the lock are really flexible! fake stuff suc*s!

Why did you switch? I would think the Mugen has better aero for the track.

I had Mugen, J's and Spoon parts on my last S and loved them (The top was an oem). But like you said they are a work of art! I took dozens of digital pics of them.

Since you have the Mugen frp top (and you already answered most of my questions) id like to ask if you regret not getting the CF top? Also what does the inside look like on the frp, how is it finished? Have you had any issues with the plastic rear window?
To be honest I had the option of getting CF or the FRP. But when I saw the CF version in front of my eyes I really didnt want to use it because it was so BEAUTIFUL!!! It is fantastic but everytime...I would be worried too much for the CF Mugen Hardtop to be damaged or even worst to be stolen! Thats why I end up with the FRP cause if something happens I can still repair it.

If you can get the CF get it, but keep your eyes close to this magnificent product...

Personally I would be very much concerned for the reasons mentioned before.

when you have a big 3d GT wing. as long as you have a HT, the aero from HT makes 0 difference.
