You killed it for sure. It's done for. Might as well drive it to junkyard, if you can make it.

So what happens if your driving from 1-2 then shifting to 3rd but the rmp was pass the 8k mark * so it was like blinking for a sec or 2 * will the rev-limiter kick in? or did i kill the motor...
to clarify again, you can't over rev doing upshifts or reving the crap in neutral, you can only over rev on down shifts because the wheels from the car are causing the engine to spin so the computer can't control that since the car is already going the speed it is which in an over rev case is way too high for that gear you accidentally got in.

3-2 no good, 6-2 in my stupid case trying to go 6-4 = bye bye engine.....
p.s. i'm rebuilding my engine now....(or swapping)
Yeah, I did this but I was very lucky.

As I released the clutch, I felt the car slow. As soon as I felt it, I hit the clutch. Managed to get to 9k though!

All of which was easily under a second!

Engine lives on and a check of the retainers proves I caught it in time

But as Stealth says, no real damage done by hitting the limiter.

It's not exactly good for the engine though, so try not to make a habit of it
