Am confused... So this means it cannot be used with the type S bumper?

No this is the regular intake, the Type S Bumper Intake scoop would be a foot shorter. J's Racing simply made the front opening on the scoop smaller so there is not need to cut the stock bumper. Correct me if I'm wrong Ben.

What would I be cutting? There is'nt much to cut to begin with.

reminds me of my intake for my J's Type S bumper, but at the same time looks longer...i'd have to take another look at my intake to be positive....but it's too dark out now

nice stuff btw, i was thinking the same exact idea.. it must be an improved newer version. yes, the older one you must cut the grill of the OEM front.. and im thinking that, "why cant they just short it a lil bit" and they really did!!! good.. now it could fit other front end, possibly w/o any modification.

mav, your ASM radiator pic is made for the ASM intake. the pre-cut part for the snorkel is kinda large for the J's racing intake.

here is some reference pic from medicalstudent's ASM intake...
