Is my exhaust muffler too big?
I have a custom single exhaust setup with an round Apexi N1 canister. Its not oval. My question is that could I be losing some power or not having strong vtec since my Apexi canister is too big? Is this a back pressure issue? My vtec sucks righ now! Its not as strong and it sometimes kicks in at 7K, not 6K. I have 2.5 inch piping, but my Apexi canister has a 3-inch inlet and its huge in diameter! Is it bad to have a larger canister than most if I am N/A even though I have 2.5 inch piping welded onto it? This is the exact size and similar looking canister you see on sooped up Sti's and Evo's to give u an idea how big Im talking about.

the size of the canister tip won't hurt anything.
2.5 " pipe size is fine (probably about 63mm right) a single 70mm exhaust would give you more gains from what is seen from most similar exhausts.
