Default More Exhaust Questions

Before I buy my new exhaust next month, I have a few questions.

What piping size is the Fujitsubo Legalis R?

Is the T1R 70mm really the best exhaust for the AP2 S2000? Single or Dual? Does it matter?

How does the Spugen 2.5" dual exhaust compare? I wouldn't mind retaining a stock look if I could, but it's far from necessary.

I'm looking to stay at around $1000 for the exhaust, give or take a few hundred.

Thanks in advance.

Stay away from Spugen. At those prices you can have a better system. My resonator started to rattle internally in less then a year. I got the T1-R 63mm after and have nothing but good comments on it. If you want to stay closer to stock I would go for the Fuji. Its a NY Metro favorite and sounds mighty fine.

Yeah, you can't really say that anything is "the best exhaust", it's all a matter of opinion. The T1R will give you more power but will sound louder and have a little drone to it, and the 70mm Sparrow exhaust will take those same points further (more power, louder sound). The Fuji sounds great but kind of quiet and shows little to no gains. The Spugen exhausts are not stainless and have had resonator problems before. Making a judgement on single vs. dual is probably the first thing you wanna do -- single if you want max performance and a loud exhaust, dual if you want a rather quiet exhaust with a slight performance bump.

No other exhaust company that makes exhaust for S2000's make their exhaust in 63. It's either 60mm or 70mm

So what size is the Fujitsubo? Are there any realistic gains to be had over my current set up? Right now I run a 70mm Invidia V3 with a test pipe.

The Fujitsubo is only a 60mm exhaust.
You'd have more mid-range to top-end power with the Invidia. The Fuji would help you regain some low-end torque and throttle response.

So what is a good choice to go with for a quieter exhaust that still makes good power? My Invidia is gone in a few hours.

You missed one. Supersprint is 63.5mm back to the split, then 50mm to the mufflers.

So Spugen is a bad choice then?
