Default installing coilovers question

Hey guys I want to install KW Variant 3 Coilovers but Id rather not do it myself. I went to a pretty honest/reasonable shop imo and they quoted me at $490. They said it would take them 7 hours...Is this correct, it sounds crazy to me...

7 hours?

whereabouts in Orange County are you located? 490 is a ripoff and 7 hours is A LONG time? unless thats including an alignment and corner balancing...

if you are in OC..you'll get a better response posting there

7 hours seem a bit long. maybe they had other customers they needed to tend to. did a coilover install myself and took me only 2 hours with the diy directions followed on this site.

i'd do the install for half that amount ;]

By myself I did it in 4 hrs!!! and it was my first coilover install! dude its easy and can be done with the DIY's here on the forum. Save yourself the money buy a spring compressor and go yank those stockies out and slam the KW's in... I love my KW V3's and for me I have found my perfect street track settings

I can definitely help you out if you are in the OC! Just buy the beer. Installing coilovers on our cars is one of the easiest.

7 hours and $490 is far fetched. It is not hard at all really. It's basically just taking off the old and putting on the new, although I think the KWs need to use the oem top hats so this may take more time and labor. Should not take you more than 3 - 4 hours on your first time.
