Default GruppeM/M's Intake

Any opinions on this and specifically how this will perform?

I think they discontinued that specific model intake...

I could be wrong...I'm curious just as well, how well does it perform?

You can still get it from GruppeM UK.

isnt that intake like 3k I would much rather get Itb's for that much money, of course you would need engine management and tuning not included in that 3k of course.

Its about $2000. ITBs, while sweet, are too extreme for me. I need to replace my piece of shit AEM V2 intake. I've narrowed my choices down to the GruppeM or J's Racing. Regardless of the money factor, I'm interested in knowing which performs better. I'm leaning towards GruppeM because I've had great experience with their products on my M3, their S2000 intake is an extremely rare piece and the installation is simple. The intake from J's Racing is becoming played out and the install is a bitch. Most of all, I'm not too fond of the idea of cutting my hood.

The question is how does it perform? GruppeM claims 12-18HP, which is bullshit.

mav you are too much of a baller for me, you are actually considering spending 2k on an intake? I thought my Arc was overpriced. Wow dude it must be nice, what else do you have on your car? Do you go to any of the meets here in Miami? If so I want to see your car.

there is a member on here with it, I forgot his screen name... I would figure it would be about as much as you could hope for out of a non-CAI for our car... Since Gruppe M is K&N's performance division, you can be sure there was adequate R&D involved in it's development... I'd do it for giggles...
