Default Does anyone's Mugen hardtop creak?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had a problem with their Mugen Hardtop making creaking noises? It happens in my car over almost all uneven surfaces, and it is getting pretty annoying. I'm not sure if the top is on too tight, I just feel that if I loosen it up then it won't be air/water tight any more. It sounds like its coming from the driver's side rear catch point. Any insight is appreciated as usual.

I have heard of some Mugen hardtops creaking. I think it has to do with the the mounting hardware which is not something Shin-Etsu Grease can fix. On my OEM hardtop, I have experienced the occasional creaking too. Having experienced this myself, I believe it has something to do with the latches. I prefer a little creaking as opposed to an air/water leak, although all of these scenarios are rather annoying.

I don't have a hard top but i have that same noise on my soft top. I did a quick search and found this fix. The noise could be coming from your latches/mounting brackets which this fix should address. I'm going to the dealer next week to get mine looked out.

Mine creaks when its cold out, or when I go over bumps/drive ways sideways. Its FRP, its going to flex and make noise.

My oem hardtop creaked occasionally, but not very often. My Mugen CF hardtop also has an occasional creak. About once every 5000 miles on harsh, potholed Texas roads, there is much creaking from the hardtop latch. A quick tightening turn of the screw solves the problem until 5000 miles later.
