Great write up,
I'm planing on doing the same, but having a 4 point (more rear visibility) with a removable harness bar.
I have a year 2000, and I have replaced the old rag top with an EZtop rag top with a glass window.
Does the roll bar hit or interfere with the glass window when opening and closing the top?

If your EZ rag top has the same dimensions as the OE you shouldn't have any problems, this roll bar was made to work w/ the OE soft top.
the only issue i had with the 5 pt bar, was with the 5th point (the horizontal bar blocking the rear window view). The bolts holding this bar to the rear legs would be close to the glass and when i drive top up and windows down, the fabric would vibrate against the bolts. but you won't have this problem since you will have a 4 pt

First post is back up!!! Thanks to the people of H-T who stole the write-up and reposted it there. Without them, i wouldn't have found a copy of the write-up text. It's back up in all of its glory, no thanks to the site 'upgrade' that made it all disappear in the first place.
