would a cooling plate with more air openings (carbing, arc, etc) still be a hazard to your coilpacks?

I dont think any coolant plate will necessarily be a HAZARD... I dont think it will be a good idea, but IMO the only reason for buying a coolant plate would be for bling factor. It wont help any or hurt any much for you to notice. Your coilpacks are not going to melt into your cylinder head, cooling plate or not

Here's another Ebay snorkel, a little cheaper

Do you have to pull the front bumper to install?

But if the car has a hood with cooling fins like Mugen or Top Secret then this would help maintain cooler temps in the engine bay using a cooling plate or not. Right?

Makes sense to me.

Spoon Racers/Track guys with Spoon Tai bumper still run the cooling plate that funells all air to stock box intake, as it gathers more air than Special hole in bumper with snorkle. Stock box = No hyrdro lock.

i have a replica snorkel right now, and i'm looking for any old cooling plate (actually looking for ARC hehe).. but just get any cooling plate and dremel out a hole for the snorkel.. that will work fine..\

after some research, my concern is that a cooling plate will make the engine bay hotter.... ... but it seems that a lot of ppl have cooling plates and it makes no difference...
