Default Cooling plate or Spoon Snorkel?

Hey guys- was looking at getting a spoon snorkel for improved airflow - then stumbled across this..
http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merchant..._Code=SEIBON_CP

. What do you guys think? would this be a better buy then the snorkel? or would this even work? Thanks for the input.

That plate wont do much at all IMO. I would go the snorkle route and leave the oem plate it, it has holes up to the very front to so air will flow throughout the entire engine. If you cover that up with a coolant plate the only hole will be directed to the intake and the rest of the engine will run hotter. I heard its necessary for the coil packs...

I've heard the same thing; coilpacks melting from getting too hot.

So... a cooling plate isn't really a... cooling plate? Those slits on the stock airdam are necessary?

Why can't someone just make a plastic snorkel? I can't justify spending $400 just so it can be carbon fiber. I prefer function over form.

Do you have a link for a replica one? I cant find one. I try to buy brand name- but i really cant justify 400 ish dollars for a piece of plastic.
