Default can someone help me install a tsuchinoko intake?

I just got my j's racing intake from a member on here, just a quick question...

is the air filter supposed to be flush with the snorkel part of the intake? I pushed it in to the snorkel part as gently as possible, but I cant get the filer to be completely flush.

thanks!

also in the instructions, it shows what the intake looks like after its installed on a ap2 oem bumper, and the inlet for the snorkel looks alot bigger than mine, but the seller told me this was for the OEM bumper...?

mine is not as big as this inlet in the picture. the seller told me it was for a oem bumper though...?

any help is appreciated

Its not that big cuz you have the new version of the intake.

Correct!

Bonus for you here is you won't need to cut out your front bumper grill, it fits perfectly behind it and still functions the same.

I got it installed!

but it seemed like I needed another hose with my install. it came with a thin rubber hose that I used to extend a vaccum hose and a clear hose that I connected from the 'valve cover' plug to the side of the tsuchinoko intake.

but after removing the metal bracket that holds all those hoses together on my AP2, I needed another rubber hose to connect some line that carrys coolant? its circled on the top in the pic below

then in the 2nd green circle near the bottom, is where I screwed in that funny looking double sided screw, with the rubber piece in the middle. I assumed the map sensor or whatever that thing is with the vaccum lines running through it was supposed to mount on that double sided screw that came with the J's, but the hole on the map sensor is not big enough, so I just zip tied the whole thing to some radiator hoses...

does this sound ok?

I mounted mine in the same spot, your fine. As for the vacuum hose, just get some from your local parts store and you should be fine.
