Well my CAI sound will mask the exhaust so it won't be useful.

The ASM is really quiet and sounds quite nice. No other 70mm is like it except maybe the new T1R that is sort of a copy of it.

How did the ASM 70mill sound when VTEC kicked in?

Does it sound any better with a high flow cat or test pipe?
I haven't installed my high flow cat yet, but in VTEC the ASM sounds pretty mellow.
I liked the sound of my T1R 10x more, I just couldn't handle the drone.

I will say though, with stock ecu the ASM sounds louder and better but I know it's just because I am running too rich so I can't really enjoy the sound.

Were you running the T1R V3?

I like the sound of the T1R, but just not a fan of the angled look, and diameter of the tips.

I had the 63 with the angle.

The 70mm V3 I think is the quiet one.

just go for the 70mm. the sound is somewhat similar to the great sounding Fujitsubo, just louder. in no way annoying though, i too have a aem style CAI and the combo sounds great!
