In addition to the above statements, I must say that w/ the J's Racing exhaust systems, it is a known fact that there are some issues w/ 06' + S2000s. If there are issues w/ Power House Amuse R1 Titan resonated exhaust, and their installation on 06' models and above, I had not read of them prior to my purchase.

I can't believe that this issue is specific to two individuals alone, nor do I think that different hanger busings, etc. will make any difference. Had I known this to be an issue, I would have gone a different route.

I can look at the the finished product and believe that it is truly (not being a professional welder or fabricator) a quality piece of engineering. But I also have to wonder why the fitting of the exhaust leaves so much to be desired. I can only determine that a.) it is because it is made for JDM vehicles alone, or b.) it is not made to fit my make and model specifically.

I will say in advance that I apologize for misleading statements, or uneducated claims regarding my a.) and b.) possiblities. I'm sincere in saying that I do not know why I'm having the problems I am having, but also that I am determined in coming up with some sort of solution to my complication/problem.

I have a great love for the Japanese Domestic Market, and completely believe in standing behind the QUALITY products that are produced within the country. I also believe that if we are expected to spend that extra dollar for their products, that we should all receive what is expected, both in quality and correct fitting.

Absolutely no fit issues with an 05 S2000. Might be an 06 thing?

The helmholtz weenie is flatter and more oval '06 on vs round in previous years. Stick it in a large vise and squish it down some.

Yes, the helmholtz on the stock exhaust is more oblong than it is cylindrical, but I don't think I'm ready to modify the Amuse to that extreme just yet.

I hope to pick up some new hangers tomorrow, and give them a whirl. I'll let you know what happens.

.......................... you do know the 06 has a different exhaust line than the previous models correct? the difference is the passenger side bottom left and right rear of the seat mounts.

I honestly don't think that its an 06+ thing...all Amuse exhausts should fit all years without any problems. I've own my fair share of Amuse products and have seen it on numerous S in Socal, never a fitment problem...

The latest Amuse 70mm euro has fitment problems too on my MY07..
I had the asura HFC re-welded to fit the exhaust with lots of clearance.

No, I didn't. I've not been around anyone w/ 05' or less lately to inspect it. That would however be in the same vicinity of the res. I know that if I put my hand on the floorboard around the front of the passenger seat, I can actually feel the vibration. I wonder if that could have something to do w/ it?

All of the hangers/bushings I've found locally, have either been way too large, or more or less identical to the ones I have. I'm thinking that if I replace three of the bushings w/ a three hole hanger like the one over the can, it may be the clearance I'm looking for. My only other concerns, would be lowering the can, along with the rest of the exhaust, and putting too much stress on the cat/exhaust joint.
