Default 06 seats, are we OOL?

are the 06's owners out of luck when it comes to aftermaket seats? i understand the AIR bag sense is located in the seats.. any ways to relocate them into aftermarket or something..

There will ALWAYS be a "work around". If someone hasn't figured it out yet, they will.

so far we've seen backyard special low mount seat rails used with the oem seats for a 20mm drop. i understand there was some work needed with the air bag sensor, i'm hoping to see a writeup soon from the customer/member

from what i understand it's only the passenger seat that is the issue, because obviously if the car is moving, someone is in the seat driving it...mitigating the need for a sensor in the drivers seat. as far as the passenger seat is concerned. there has to be some kind of signal modifier that just sends an "ass in seat" signal at all times. or... i can't imagine it's all that hard to retrofit one into an aftermarket seat. oh well... nobody tries anything new here. when i get new seats i'll try something...

I think there is a driver's side seat position sensor that changes the force of airbag deployment based on seat position. Don't know how it would interact with aftermarkert base and sliders.
