Default Clutch Problems

Hey, got into the car today to head to work and couldnt get into any gear, no matter what i tried. Towed it to the dealer. and a couple hours later they said it was my "pressure plate, throwout bearing, etc" and they estimated 2000 dollars!!, nearly had a heart attack. but anyway.. Anyone know where i can get any deals, perhaps a good "cheaper" mechanic to put them in for me?

Much appreciated..

$500 is the minimum you would pay for someone to replace your clutch. That doesn't include the parts. I order parts from here all the time. http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-03maint.html

I would order the parts myself and then work out the install. The parts will run about $700.

$2k???? WTF???

Call Mase at Mase Engineering. You can get better than stock for that kind of dough. I just did a complete replacement about 6 weeks ago. Top notch work and if he's backed up go to Stage 6. They are friends and I would trust either with my car any day of the week.
