The next Cars and Coffee, a FREE automotive enthusiast meeting, will once again be held the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00a - 11:00a outside the Starbucks and Salsarita's location at the River City Marketplace in NE Jacksonville due east of JIA.

There are normally 125 or so cars that show up of all makes and models, muscle, tuner, antique, new, Alfa Romeros to Z-06s, S2000s to tons of BMWs, Ferrari's to Porsche's, trucks, Lambos, you name it.

I went to the last with some friends & it wasn't bad at all. Lots of automotive eye candy to be had, just very few Asian imports....

Never Quit

I always say this it seems but I'm expecting to be there. No more family illnesses (Sandy's mom passed away 3/3 ) and no more baseball. Chase made All-Stars again but decided he wanted to take some time off so weekends have opened up a bit. Miss seeing him play but glad not to have a weekend schedule all of the time not to mention tournament play is pretty much all week and weekends so I'm more glad than sad on that subject.

We have family from Scotland in that week but I suspect the husband would love to venture down the street to check out the rides so that's the plan unless he nixes me. If he does then I'll see if his wife wants to go.

I hear there was another dispute over the rights to the name. I think Jax lost it's "official" badge for Cars & Coffee. Jax doesn't show on the C&C forum any longer.

Yeah the name was copyrighted by a company and they contacted the organizer of the event and told them that he could not use it.
