I'll do my best to continue posting 1-2 weeks prior as a reminder for everyone even if for some reason I can't make it.
I hope "fingers crossed" to be able to make the next 2-3 but then our son starts football which will take up most Saturday's for a bit. Then again, we've been warned that will take up 4-5 days per week with practices and games. Oh well. Our kids stay in shape.
In fact, once he gets up we're going for a 1-2 mile walk/run. It's "walk/run" because of my old ass not him. I used to be fast as #@#% and he picked up those genes and more I guess (sprinting anyway). I can usually out sprint him but honestly he has beaten me fair and square (no Daddy give me's). I'm going to have to work to keep him down to my plodding pace this morning as I work towards getting back up to running the whole circuit which I hope leads to running an actual 5k in a few months. Long story...sorry to digress. After he gets used to it though, and once we get his helmet and pads he'll start running with those to get him conditioned for the extra weight. Figure most of these kids have played a couple seasons already. This will be his first so he has a lot of technique and plays to learn. He plays with many of them in the yard those and does well.
