Thanks for the welcome. I'm not far from Albany, near thatcher park. Are there any S2000 specific autocrosses around here? Also, are there any recommended shops around that know these cars well? I need an alignment and want someone who really knows the car to look it over.
Thanks.
Thanks.

As far as an alignment, go to Albany Speed Shop (close to where you live). They are the best shop in the area for alignments. A lot of race cars go there to get aligned as well. Tell them the guy with the Laguna Blue S2000 referred you. For regular maintenance, you can do it yourself or take it to Albany Speed Shop. For specific work, send a PM to jsenclosures, who is a vendor on here. He does work like soft-top installs, clutch installation etc.
If you are handy, there is a wealth of information on this forum. From maintenance to repairs and rebuilds. Sign up for a membership to get full access, it also helps the guys keep the site running. Hope to see you soon.

I actually bought the S from Jake so I will probably get ahold of him if I need anything I can't do. Are the MHSCCA events good for beginners?

Yes the MoHud events are great for beginners. They have been running events like this for close to 60 years now. They will provide instruction. Matter of fact, just yesterday they held an autocross school which is a non-points event. At the points event, they do have a novice walk through and usually the senior guys will ride with you as well as take you out in their cars.
