It's true, the giddyup comes after VTEC kicks in. The car is quite docile below that. You're probably test driving with the top up, and the drone (even with stock exhaust) really takes away from enjoyment... Top down, I love the sound of the exhaust. Aftermarkets can be VERY loud though, so go with your gut there.

To me, the S2000s steering and transmission are the best parts of the car. Some folks don't like the "numbness" of the steering, but it's awesome responsiveness (it's driven with an electric motor, not hydraulic pressure) blows me away. You never get any kick back when you steer quickly. The tranny speaks for itself. I shift even when I don't have to.

Best wishes, caso. -- Chaz
thanks! lets just hope my car sells, or this will not happen.

Hey man, I talked to you on the toledo boards about your car for sale (my names eclipsd on there)

I honestly think your best bet is to part the car out, I know its some work if you did it yourself. But you will get the most money for it overall. Thats what I did with my old turbo eclipse and I ended up getting 20k+ for everything.

Just a thought.

Yea time will tell. There is a S2K that I want right now... so I figured I would try to sell my car with everything on it. The price I am asking is a steal for this car, as dealers are selling these for $16-17k stock. I am only asking $14,500 for mine, with all the $$$ invested. Its just that nobody is shopping right now. If I don't act quick, I will miss out on the S2K I want. It will take a long time to part out... then I still have to sell my stock car privately. No places like Carmax around here either. Eh it just sucks.

People don't like to buy modded cars. This is why I stopped doing major car upgrades a long time ago, and stick with wheels, stereo, etc.

The "nubmness" of the steering is also something I noticed. The 350Z, MR2 Spyder, and NSX all turned like a razor blade compared to the S2000. Although, overall, the S2000 steering is still enjoyable if you aren't comparing it side-by-side.

cable, I think that GPW (cshamash's color) is not usually in high demand. Over the years, demand has been low. So, perhaps there are fewer around, but they are harder to sell.

Agreed, though, that's a terrific deal.
