Test driving S2000 and age?
Hi all,
New to these lands, I currently drive the civic type r and want to change to the S2000 at 24 though i'm having a problem booking a test drive (have to be at least 25 apparently), is there a way around this??
Cheers

What type of car does your daddy drive..? The reason for that is if he has a somewhat nice car and you borrow it and take that car to the dealer they might think you have a little cash and let you test drive a car.....
hope this helps

In the states, I've found it depends on the dealership. For instance I went to the local Subaru dealership to test drive the Sti when it first came out and they wouldn't let me (having already bought two cars from that dealership). I was upset and found a new S and bought that instead.

Over here in Jersey, I've been having problems too. They really don't say no, they kind of work they're way around saying but implying that they don't want me to. For example... oh the salesman that usually takes people out for test drives isn't here. I get so annoyed, you have no idea. I just start giving them sh*t because it annoys me that just because I look young, they automatically assume I don't have money. So frustrating.
The only way I can see you test driving is if you bring one of your parents with you or someone that looks older. Always works for me, unfortunately it works that way.

When I first started looking at the S, I was 22 I think...
The first dealership would not allow me to test drive a new one, but they did have a used one they were willing to let me test drive. A different dealer in town was very happy to let me drive a new one. And a third was willing to let me drive one, upon completion of a credit check. So it really all depends on where ya go...
