s2000 cost
I am considering buying an 06 s2000 and the dealer in my area says that he won't budge from the 34050 sticker price. I am planning on checking all of the dealers in orlando (think they may have lower prices due to competition in the area).....I was just wondering what you guys think a fair price for one would be.
Thanks

You should definitely shop around. You should be able to find it under sticker for sure at the least. Possibly ask in your regional forum to see if they have any suggestions for dealers/salesmen... or you can buy one online from hardtop guy.

Springtime is almost here, and dealers know people buy convertibles in the spring. My dealer has 4 S2000's on its lot now, all ready to go for sticker.
Your best best is to deal over the phone, say you are from out of town, and simply ask for the dealer's best internet price. Do this for your Orlando dealers, as well as dealers in the surrounding areas - smaller markets will dealmorewith you imo. Being on the lot weakens your position a bit, so don't show up until you've agreed on a price, and then worry about haggling.
I think you can do better than 32 if you try, but that's a good price for new.

Email the internet sales people. When I bought my 06 Saturday, I was working two internet salespeople at two dealers. One offered 30990, ended up with the other at 30840 (plus destination, taxes, tags, etc). Dind't have to do much haggling for that, and ended up almost $1000 below the Edmunds TMV and CarsDirect.com price for this area.
Be willing to travel for a good deal.

Most dealers now have a salesperson that deals directly over the internet. You can usually go to the dealer website and request an internet quote, or request a quote to a dealer via the Honda website.
In my experience -- and I've bought three cars this way -- the internet price they quote you will be about as close to as low as they'll go, depending on the dealership, of course.
What I do is email a number of the dealers in the area, letting them know I'm serious about buying, and asking them to email me their best price quote. Not all respond, and some will quote MSRP or similar, but you'll get a couple competitive quotes. I use the best to see if anyone will beat it, and then close the deal over the internet or phone. That way, you can show up (with your copies of the emails in hand) and just do the paperwork.
Use Edmunds.com TMV and Carsdirect.com to get resonable stating prices for your area, as well as invoice costs -- then shoot for at least beating those prices.
