as little as I drive mine, lease would never be an option. It wouldn't be a smart decision. DD maybe think about it. But I know I would never have considered a lease cause I do whatever I want to my car.

If you lease and then take the option, more money. Question to ask yourself, if you lease, are you sure you can walk away saying I won't buy it. good luck saying no.

Thanks for the replies,I've never owned any car more than two years and I get bored of them easily but then again I've never owned an S2000.I'm not sure if there will be an '09 model so I was hoping to get a last year model since nothing out there catches my attention as much as the S. For the guys that have lived with the S for more than 3 years if you can give me an idea of actual cost of ownership (tires change,maintenance,etc....) that would be great. Cheers.
I have had mine for 3 years now, I too have just recently grown somewhat bored of it......................thats why there is a Greddy Turbo Kit on its way to my house

Lease and then purchase, if your credit is good.

I"m in the car business, and this will work out to your favor. Current tier 0/1 money factor on the s2000 lease is .00054, which works out to about 1.3% interest.

That price you have for a purchase, you can also get on a lease. Yes, lease prices are negotiable, and you can lease for cheaper than the special advertised.

Depends how long you want to keep the S2000. Many say S2000 is not a good daily, but I think it is a good daily. Think of this. Hard day of work, step out of your office and into your S2000. Drop the top down and cruise on home.

[QUOTE=MaxGeek,Mar 1 2008, 07:26 AM] I've considered getting a new S2000 and I'm thinking about a lease as well.

Try out this tool to compare loan vs lease.

I order it directly from Honda and then go pick it up at the dealer.I live a bout 5 miles away from work and I probably do around 6k miles a year so I'm not sure if a lease would really pay off.I know the car loses a lot of its value in the first 2 years so maybe that would compensate for the fact that I won't use it for all 12k/year's worth.I've got so used to the fact that I don't have to pay for anything else but gas on my current company lease that is kind of hard to give it up.

Don't you have the option of paying off the car and owning it after the lease ends?...

Of course you do. Sometimes it is cheaper to lease as money factors can be so low for a large part of the loan.

Total payments would be $12,564.00 for three years and then an option to buy it for $19,214.25 which I don't hink it's a bad deal for a three year old S2000 which you know you took care of.While I'm not sure what the future hold for the S,I think its last year will be 2009 after which we could get an environmentally friendly true sports car.I just hope it won't be in the same class as the Miata(like an S800 replica)
I don't think I can go wrong with the lease deal and then just buy the whole thing (if I don't get bored of it) after three years.I've been hearing some rumors that all S2000 '09 models will have the hardtop included standard but I'm not sure if there will be a price hike because of that.
