Proud owner of an s2000
Hello all my name is Seth. I have been eager to get an s2000 for about 3 years now, and finally did today. I actually bought the vehicle from a buddy of mine (who is/was on the boards), and couldn't be happier with the car; I am in LOVE. The car is a 2002, and the only mods done to it are Rick's badges and bronze 5zigen FN01RCs. I am 18, and this is my second vehicle.
This is the car i am leaving. It is an 03 EX.
I have been lurking on the site for some time, but now that i have an S commenting on this site will be a daily ritual i am sure.
Plans: I am going to first fix any (most anyway) paint flaws, then move on to repairing, replacing, and cleaning anything else. The car has 65k and has only had oil and pads done in the last several thousand miles, so i would like to do the 60k maintenance, maybe check the valve retainers, and do a dyno/compression check. After that, i will start throwing money at it. The first mod i will actually be doing will be putting my R40 neo chros on the car that i had on the civic, but besides that, it may be a while before major changes take place.
So i don't whore threads, i suppose i could ask a couple questions in here.
1) Are the S2000 drain bolts magnetic? If not, will the PW:JDM one work with the oil pan? I have it on my civic, and since i am selling it i no longer need it on there. Would there be any cons to doing this if it will fit?
2) I think i will start putting 10W30 Eneos in the car and see how it does. I figure i will need to watch oil consumption and how it reacts to the different oil; I think it has always had penzoil or honda oil in it. Any comments on this oil?
2a) Where do you recommend getting this oil from? Obviously a site that is respectable and fair priced. If it matters, it would be shipping to the mid-west.
3) Does ASM still manufacture the rear deck lid spoiler? I am sure they have varying styles, but i am referring to the small one that covers up the 3rd brake light. Anyone know where i could buy one?
That is all i can think of for now. Thanks in advance.
Here is the car btw, and the good sir i bought it from.

Congrats man. Factory lip even, nice. As far as your question goes about the spoiler, you would be suprised how many parts there are in the classified section on here. If you don't see what you want post in the WTB section and you may find some luck.
