Prospective MS3 to S2K switch

I would probably pass, if you have tuned your car in a way that reflects on the kind of enthusiast you are, the S2000 is not ideal for you. The climate is another barrier.

In chicago I had my hardtop on 9 months a year.

Also, for another 3-4 months a year you will be essentially limited to under 6k, due to the cold and/or snow. Plus the salt and snow will eat up your pristine example.

I'd probably pass as well... or take it and move to FL

seems pretty unanimous. i think i'm going to prioritze a house as my next purchase. I have the speed 3, and a Duc so i'm doing ok with toys right now. i'll probably linger around here for some time. I still love the styling and respect what the s2k was made for.

Id say pull the trigger. You only live once, right?

Seriously though, there are a bunch of owners here in the Chicago area that drive them daily, even in winter. With a good set of snow tires, the S can get around pretty much everywhere.
