I've been looking for a new car and was looking to test drive an S2000. Both dealers I've gotten internet quotes from are looking for about 29-30k before tax and title for the color I wanted.

I was wondering what other people have been paying for MY07s recently and what I should aim for in terms of an out the door price. I used the search function and people have been saying around 26500-27000 as of late but do not state OTD or not. I am also located in the midwest/great lakes so a large demand does not seem to be an issue around here.

 

29-30K before tax is absolutely crazy. Why would you pay that when you could get an 08(which will be worth more right now) for the same price? You should be looking at $26-27 max before taxes. Better yet- look for a lightly used 07 and pay even less(no taxes if you buy private party).

The one sitting on our local dealer is priced at $28500 and it's a new leftover '07.
If they advertise that price, it means it can definitely go lower.
I'd shoot for $26k for a new MY07 leftover.
