price for 03 s2k, please look!
I know EVERYONE hates these threads and I'm terribly sorry but I'm a newb and have in fact searched for a similar topic, but there's nothing recent about a price for this year.
The car I"m looking at has 45,000 miles on it, it is silver, and in good condition. I've got them down to $21,000. Does anyone have an opinion on that price, good/bad.
Again I apologize for the annoying post but it would help me out quite a bit if anyone can chime in.
Thanks a lot!!!

Reasonable deal, not stellar, but reasonable considering it is summer and what not.

well that would be a great deal, but I need to unload my current vehicle on the dealership at the same time....unless you want an 05 wrx wagon?
Damn! now I'm thinking of how I'm going to get this deal lower? I thought the $21,000 offer was good....I guess not. I know I can just offer a lower figure but I made it sound like the $21k was going to make me happy and now I'm not.

I paid $22k for my '03 with 12k miles on it back in march, so I think you can go a little lower than $21k, but probably not much especially since it's summer time. Is this particular car from a dealer? Private party?
Honestly, though, if you like the car, then go for it. You can spend all sorts of time trying to find the best deal possible and save a few hundred bucks here and there, but there will ALWAYS be a better deal out there (and you'll always find out about it the day AFTER you buy the car . If you feel like the car is worth the price, then buy it, you won't regret it one bit. Time is money, and life is short

Hell, i'll sell you my 2002 S2000 with 16,000 miles, absolutely the most flawless car you'll ever see if you pay me 21,000!

sounds like it's from a dealer...i guess that's almost decent price. i got my '03 w/37k miles for $21,5 in march '05, but from a private party. a year later i'd expect you could get it for 19 or 20k.
edit: by the way, even though you made it seem like the $21k price they offered made you happy, just remember it's your money. don't pay an extra $1000 or so just because you think you'd feel bad about changing your mind on the price (something dumb that i did!).

as far as your current deal goes, i'd say wait. You can do so much better with 21k than to buy an S with 45k miles. Search on autotrader. Sell your wrx privately. You'll save a LOT of money that way.
