word of advice since it's an AP2...if you're going to replace the clutch, replace the flywheel with either an AP1 flywheel or an aftermarket lightweight flywheel. The stock AP2 fly is 24 lbs and is very hindering to say the least.

We have the same flash flood problem here in Texas. Some of the guys here run AEM and INJEN type intakes, but most of them would really like to switch to a K&N FIPK or a Comptech. We've had at least one local car running an AEM intake that hydrolocked. It probably isn't a huge concern, but I like the piece of mind of the Comptech. Plus it sounds amazing.

^ i live in houston and have the FIPK. sounds great and decent gains plus i dont have to worry about my filter ending up submerged because no matter how careful you are sometimes it is just unavoidable when floods happen as fast as they do here. Plus those so-called waterproof socks are nowhere near waterproof. just resistant to things like mist. any significant amount of water will go right through it

Ok, I am home with the car!
I will post pics tomorrow after I clean it up.
I am sure I painted a grimer picture of the car than is reality. The car is beautiful with only a few dings. The previous owner had a huge stack of receipts that she gave me, the car has been very well maintained.
I feel like I got a very good deal. I paid $11k.
