Hi there,
I am considering buying a hardtop, however people have been telling me that it isn't worth it because I would'nt be using it often.Considering the sun shines for 300 days a year they have a point.

I had the hardtop, I wouldn't get it again because I didn't use it enough to warrent it.
If you like the look, go for it, but I don't see that great an advantage to having it.
Plus it is a pain to take off and put on.

For me, the HT is not useful. I admit, I'm a bad boy for dropping the top in very cold weather, but to me that's what this car is all about. I do love the look, but on a nice winter day I really like letting the cold air blow.
Anyway, once again, welcome aboard Tangelina. And consider a s2ki.com membership if you are planning to hang around a while.

I put down the top even when it's 32 degrees.
The only time my top is up is when it's raining, i'm driving on the freeway for a long time, or when it's below 30.
I know that if i had a hard top, I'd either have to use it all the time cuz i'm too lazy to take it off..or i'd never use it cuz i'd be too lazy to put it on.
I prefer top down versus top up. If you're the opposite, than I can understand a hardtop.

I live in south Texas. The hardtop is a big plus on those 90+ degree days. The A/C works better and not as much noise on the freeway. Additionally, I think the hardtop saves the softtop from being beat by the south Texas sun 365 days per year.

Personally I wished Honda had also made a coupe version of the S.
I will be picking up a hardtop as soon as I get around to saving up for one (and the soft top and motor will be removed). I like the look it adds to the car and I never really have been into convertibles anyway.
I bought the car due to its handling characteristics and because I am a die hard Honda guy! Hopefully the hardtop will add to the rigidity of the car, the security, and the looks of this great little car. I have owned it for a year this month. I live in So. Cal. and have only had the top down about 4-5 times.
Opinions will vary from person to person... weigh out the pros and cons before spending all that money. If you find yourself driving with the top down most of the time I would recomend that you dont buy the hardtop.
