Not an owner. YET!
I just recently started researching the s2000. I always thought "oh a sports car. Must cost like 70k or so." So i never even looked at it. But when i saw i can get a used one for around 15k, my interest grew. Still in the process of trying to test drive one. I started saving up for a new car anyway but i would also be trading in my 1999 civic lx. I have been working on cars for a couple years now, just never really had the money to treat myself but i believe this is the one. One of my fears is it would be a DD, so idk that will be just a waste for the car or not. Any searching and buying tips for someone new to the s2k scene. - thanks

I dd my car and couldnt be happier. Im at the point in my life where i dont need a larger car. No wife, no kids. Do it, love it. Trust me you wont regret it (only if you skimp out and buy one in bad shape)
Good luck!

I would keep the civic around as a DD/bad weather car depending on where you live. I chose to spend a little less on a higher mileage S in order to justify keeping my other car. For 15k you can find a nice AP2 (2004+) with reasonable miles. I found mine on Ebay a few weeks ago for a really good price on a no reserve auction and the rest was history. Drove with the top down for the first time today (in 35 degree weather) and can already tell its a totally different animal topless. Good luck with the search!
