Hi there I thought I would introduce myself as a self confessed car nut - I am considering getting an S2000 and currently own a DC2.
I have been into Jap cars for around 5 years and have always been a petrol head - started off with classic cars like a triumph dolomite sprint and then got really into the Yank/Hot Rod car scene owning the following: 1970 barracuda, 1971 Tans am with a full tube chassis and glass fibre body, which was running 8.8sec 1/4 mile times before i turned it into a street car, 3 other trans am's and a couple of rodded classic cars.
I then got involved in the Porsche scene - owned a couple of 944's, a heavily modified 924 and a RUF built 911, which was very quick and quite rare.
I have had 6 or 7 fiestas, a couple of peugeots inc a very nice 306 Rallye (which my ex-wife kindly decided she would like ) in between the more performance orientated cars, usually due to financial reasons and 2 ex-wives!
Since getting hooked on Japanese cars I have owned a Celica vvti M Sport, an RX-7 FD, a honda ej coupe, a fairly well modded EP3, a previous DC2 and the current DC2, which is without doubt my favourite car currently - I was actually on my way to view an Evo VIII when I bought this, saw a DC2 in the car park in tescos, whilst I was drawing out the deposit in case i liked the Evo and thought "what I am i doing? I want another one of those", and went and viewed the current one that afternoon!
Motorsport wise, I still love Drag Racing - went over to Finland last year for the Nitro Nationals (must be the Hot Rod blood in me ) - I am not really into circuit racing, as i do find it boring (sorry folks), but do enjoy cars full stop. I have been a member on various forums - currently on the DC2 and the Manchester V-Tec forums regularly.
now i've bored you all to death, I shall say see ya
take care
