Default New to the S2K scene

Hi everyone, I thought I would introduce myself. I've been reading a lot recently about the s2k and plan to purchase one within the next couple months. I'm still not sure if I want an AP1 or AP2, but I'm leaning towards the AP2.

I recently started my career and finally have a decent income. I've had a Nissan 300zx for the past 7 years. I've decided that I need something a little newer and more reliable since I will be driving a fair amount for my job. I love my Z, but she's old starting to get a little tired.

Once I get my S2k, I plan on getting a hardtop and going turbo. I still have a lot of research to do, but I do know that I've been waiting 7 years for a fast car! Anyways, feel free to give me any advice or tips for a Honda noob.

Couple pics of my current Z -

nice Z! Since I get the feeling you've got the need for speed, get an AP1 for that 9k redline

No, It's NA ) :

It's got intake, exhaust, ECU, Alum flywheel so it's quick but not fast.

I've got a need for speed!

I'm looking for a clean turboed s2k at the moment, I'm willing to fly out to get it too.

looking at a couple boosted Ap1's at the moment. Emissions is proving to be a bitch.

I'd rethink that and do the FI on a more pristine NA car if it were me. You don't want to inherit someone else's mistakes. Depending on your state's requirements emissions will be a never ending problem.

Fortunately I don't have to deal with that - so far.

Good luck with your search.
