New to an S2K but not Honda's
I've been into Hondas for some time....went from an auto 1994 civic ex that was sloooooow, to a 99 Si and a 94 Dx hatch as my DD. I built the Si myself and put down 450whp. Link here --> http://www.slomomotorsports.com/foru...ic.php?p=37#37
I feel it's time to move onto something else, it was a solid car but I am really ready for something rwd. I am a Honda guy @ heart, but respect all vehicles. The Si will be sold the end of this month, and I am looking into an 04 Berlina on Black that is local and in my price range.
I have read the comparisons and opinions from around the net regarding the Ap 1 & 2. I am leaning towards an 04 b/c it looks to me that the biggest group of changes happened during that year. I am "assuming" that they figured out any issues and addressed them.
I am a member of clubsi, honda-tech, and several other honda tuning sites. I hope this works out and this place becomes my home away from home.

You can consider the 2002 or 2003, most (if not most, then all) of the issues were fixed for the Ap1 . Many s2000's are low miles (even 2002-2003 for the fact a lot are only used for weekend driving), and for the fact that the car is basically only useful for driving (can't haul much passengers and can't haul many things). Great upgrade though, the Si's are a beast as well when tuned. MAIN thing to watch out for when you buy...
1) Check the engine oil and make sure it is at level [This high performance engine burns oil and I already had to swap my motor out because of this ]. In fact check it every weekend or whenever you get the chance to during ownership .

Crazy it actually eats that much oil..seems alittle much for a factory production car.
My Si I rebuilt myself doesn't burn any oil in between oil changes 3k.
My Si revs to 9k as well..
