Hello fellow s2ki members,

My name is benny and im new to the s2k game

Last september my cousin totalled my brand new rsx type s (8k miles)... few days later his insurance gave my father insurance money. My father kept the insurance $$ (under 25 so car was in his name for insurance purposes) and bought himself a new beamer. ("you and your friends shouldnt have been street racing you dont deserve a car" ). After many depressing months of saving up and going to school/ work full time with no transportation i had saved enough to look at a new car. For the entire month of december i was looking strictly for AP1s (felt like it was the only car right for me, and i realized that i needed a rwd car, not to mention i fantasized about ap1s for about 2 years now but never had any chance to own one ) and i didnt really find anything worth buying. (mileage too high/ price too high)


Getting a little discouraged i was almost sold to the nissan 370z that came out january 1st 2009. Went for a test drive and did some research to realize that it was one of the best cars on the market... But something about the ap1 still had my attention. I wanted a ap1 ever since i got my rsx and i felt like it was one of the most capable cars ever created. I was never a fan of straight line speed i always found it more exhilarating to thrash around corners. Almost at the verge of purchasing a 370, i felt like both cars were equal in value to me, but one was half the price of the other. Especially, when i realized that i could pull equal amounts of women with either one.

I decided to be patient and think about my decision, and just at the right time i found a european guy selling a 2003 spa yellow pearl with 22k miles, for the sole reason that he was moving back to europe. Left a deposit the day i test drove it and bought it home a week later.

I have to say it was at least 100x better than i thought it would be, and i expected it to be really, really, really, really, good.

So im new to this fourm im looking forward to modding come spring time.

Any thoughts on 370z vs. ap1???

Also, are there any ap1 meets come spring time for the north jersey/ new york area?? Im looking forward to take some pics with other s2ki members.

Welcome to the site, ..check the NY metro section for meets in your area and expect both ap1 and ap2's to be well represented.
