Used to keep the exhaust heat inside the piping, speeding up the exhaust flow and at the same time keeping the engine bay a tad cooler. You may hear from many people to not use wrap as it will deteriorate the metal underneath. I can't say I agree to that fully as I have used it and never had a problem. Would I use it on mild steel, NO WAY, for sure this will corrode away to nothing. Ultimately I would say the coatings are better versus wrapping, but as I said, I'm not patient and didn't want to wait another week or so to install it.

Thank you, hopefully I can get it to where my Teggy was. Slowly but surely. I just got off the phone, I ordered the Fujita bronze CAI. Hopefully I will like it, never been one for CAIs as I really like boxed up intakes, but from some of the reading I have done on the site, it seems people are liking these things, so figure I'll give it a go. If I don't like it, I can always pawn it off to someone.

Where did you order that intake? Ive been trying to find the bronze fujita intake but when I check on the fujita site they dont have the bronze ones for the s2k...

im noticing that all these new members have silverstones. Cant you people find different colors? I'm assuming that most s2000s for sale are silverstones. oh well

Well here on Guam they only had 1 S2000 and well it was Silverstone. If I had my choice it would of been Imola Orange or Gran Prix White, but for them to get one here, it would of cost me close to $42000, so I took what they had.

yeah i thought so, i wanted a black on full red combo but had to settle with my sebring silver, which isnt so bad.

That is true, all the colors are nice, even the JDM only lime green...with a black hardtop, damn that would be sexy.

I finished installing the thing, not having a floor jack SUCKS, all I need to say about that. So it took awhile as I had to jack up the rear end while the car was on floor jacks up front to be able to get the jacks a notch higher in order to fit the Amuse in. With the layout of the piping, it doesn't go in easy, well maybe it would if on a lift. hahaha

Haven't driven it yet, just finished taking a shower and off I will go for a little bit.

Yeah man you gotta get the car waaaay up in there to get the header on, I just took it to a lift lol. Im sure you know this already but once you start driving around with the wrap its going to smoke and stink really really bad. When I first took it for a drive smoke was coming up from the sides of the hood like my car was on fire, people were staring like wtf is wrong with his car.
