Default New S nisen owner

Well I moved to Guam from Okinawa, Japan and I was unable to bring my 2003 Integra R with me and had to let it go for a ridiculously low price of just $10000. I never intended to ever rid myself of that car as it was a complete blast to drive. I originally wanted to pick up a S nisen at first, but the 2 seat thing held me back as I have children that I would see on the weekends. Eventually my ITR was gutted and it became a 2 seater anyway.

Well anyways, now I have a '07 Silverstone S. I'm happy with it, but it really is different from my R, meaning it has not yet made me feel exactly the same way. Everytime I would fire up the R and rip around it put a HUGE smile on my face. Don't get me wrong, the S is still in its infancy and is completely stock, so eventually it will give me that huge smile as well...IT BETTER!!! I don't have really big plans for it, gradually I will add things to it, awaiting on my household goods to arrive and inside that I already have 2 Bride carbon Zeta3 seats that will be going inside this S. The damn thing is quite the porker compared to my R, almost 300lbs more with possibly a tad less power, so weight reduction is in order. Not sure what the stock S seats weigh, but the Zeta3 are just about 10lbs each. So hopefully will shave about 60+lbs with just the seat change. It will be a start.

Anyways, look forward to reading the forums here and learning about the F, hate to say this, but the motor is a bit of a downgrade from the K. That's alright though, it is older tech. Though the bottom end is definitley more stout than the K. Wish Honda would of adapted their I portion of VTEC to the F motor and then it would be a K killer in my opinion.

PICS...

My DC5R (you'll be severly missed)

My S nisen (you'll be beat on just as hard as the R)

High HP is more realistic in a RWD than a FWD

Well I'm not about straightline racing AT ALL and high horsepower has never been something I look for. I love balanced handling and twisty shite. Something high horsepower doesn't do really well unless on a full board circuit. I used to pull away easily from my friend's 600hp R34 GTR when we would do twisty shite and he would wind me back in on the straightaways. To me that is just not fun, I want to be able to fully use all the power I have when driving and not just for bursts at a time.

Thanks for the welcome and just this afternoon I realized how much more fun this car is going to be when I turned off the VSA and slightly laid into it and got the rear end a little squirlley. MMMMMMMM, fun times fun times ahead. My Teggy drove unlike normal FF cars as it was a very tail happy little bitch and when I took some people for rides doing gymkhana or even touge, they wouldn't say anything while I was driving, but as soon as we would stop, they just would say...WOW, I can't believe this thing is FF. Enough about my 5R, it is history now and lives on with a friend of mine. All about the S nisen now.

First upgrade to the Snisen, it arrived today and I will probably put it on this weekend. I have exhaust wrap and have always wrapped my past manis and never had any issues, but I'm debating on doing that or sending it out for a coating. Something to help out with the tremendous underhood temps. Eventually a new bonnet with openings will come. I remember hearing from friends on some of our drives they could see the heat coming over the top of my car on the Teggy with it's outlets. Definite helper.

Ohhh yeah, it's an Amuse exmani. Pics later when I get home, but I'm sure people have seen pics of it already so not a big deal I suppose.

Too late, I just finished wrapping the primaries. I'm an impatient bastard and don't want to wait really to put it on.

Maybe one day I will get it coated instead. Though I have never had any problems with my past manis being wrapped. My feels mani had like 50000 miles on it between my EK4 and EG9 Civics, I unwrapped it and nothing that I could see was wrong with it. My Toda before I sold it, I actually unwrapped it and wrapped it a 2nd time and unwrapped again when I sold it, had like 35000 miles on it.

Nice job on the header, I also wrapped mine and it definately helps, I can put my hand on it for 2 seconds without burning myself The wrap will look sooo much better once you use it, it will turn a goldish color, heres mine.
