New Owner In VA
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the group. Finally picking up my S today (I've been waiting a long time to say those words). I'm looking forward to all the new experiences and memories that this car will bring. And I hope to meet some of the folks from this board soon and make some new friends in the process. I'll have lots to learn as a newbie to the S (I've heard it's quite the learning curve). So thanks in advance for all the help, feedback, and advice I'm sure you all will share!

Congrats, here is a handy little compendium of the collective wisdom of this community. Enjoy the car!

Thanks for the welcome and tips!
A good friend of mine (and ex-S2Ker) came w/ me to inspect/pick up the car. Long story short: on our way back, we decided to take it through the country roads around the Charlottesville area. Unfortunately, our spirited trek was cut short by a blowout to the front right tire. So if anyone sees a S2k limping around on a spare in RVA, chances are its me. Sure wish those Potenza RE050s were cheaper/easier to come by. But I hope to be back on my feet soon enough!

Update - Ordered the tire from Costco and bought some M1 10w30 while I was there (6qt for $26). Ordered some AMSOIL SG 75w110 gear oil and 5w30 Synchromesh transmission fluid. Will be fitting the new tire and filling her up w/ some proper oil this weekend!
