Default New Owner from Calgary, Alberta

Hello everyone!

I recently became the new owner of a 2004 Honda S2000 black on black. I was looking for a summer toy as I had sold off my previously modified Subaru Legacy GT wagon as I no longer needed a daily because I relocated for work and was within walking distance. I have been sharing my wife's Honda CR-V for the past 6 months and felt my soul was dying inside every time I drove that car haha. Probably like a lot of you, I had previously owned a handful of Honda Civics and Acura Integras and wanted to get back to the simplicity and high revving nature after owning a few turbocharged cars. The next logical step was to move up in the Honda world and get into an S2000. After a few months of searching, this example popped up for sale and I had several mutual friends with the seller and they all vouched for how clean the car was and how well maintained it was. The front end was repainted by the previous owner due to some rock chips and was then wrapped in Xpel Ultimate. The paint was done really well and I plan on wrapping the rest of the car in PPF too and ceramic coat the car to keep the car looking good for the years to come.

It has a very modifications done to it already. They include a CR shift knob, Espelir ASD lowering springs, S2000 spec Volk TE37s with Nitto NT-05 tires and a Greddy Supreme SP exhaust. I plan to make a few changes in the future, such as a bucket seat and coilovers but overall am excited to own such a fun car. Here's a picture of how she sits:

I've been reading through the forum quite a bit while I was searching for an S2000 and learned a lot of good information regarding this platform and hope to continue learning throughout my ownership!

Looks nice. Those wheels complement the car quite nicely with an understated look.

Thank you! I agree that they provide an understated and dare I say, mature look. They were previously black but I'm glad the previous owner decided to refinish them in gunmetal for some contrast.

Congrats on your new car. Nice looking example! Finally able to get mine out after it's six month hibernation yesterday. After over twenty years years of ownership, getting back in the car after the winter feels like getting a new car all over again. About the only plus in not being to drive it year round. Helps keep the mileage down too. Only 44000 km, as it only comes out when it's top down weather. Hopefully you will get lots of that in Calgary this summer!

Thank you! I parked my cars while I was in school during university because I had pretty good access to public transit and it always was like driving a new car every time I would pull it out of storage so I know the feeling! Since I'm mainly just driving it on nicer days and on the weekends, it should feel like a special car for a long time. Mine has 146 000 kms so it's not a low mileage example but the previous owner drove it whenever he had a chance and I'm in the boat that a car is meant to be driven. We've had a few nice days of top down cruising and can't wait for more!

I'm the same way. I didn't mind paying less for a higher mileage example in May 2018 (80K miles at the time). I feel like I drive it a lot but have only put on 4k to date. The miles won't pile on so it isn't even going to hit 100k for a number of years. I drive it whenever the weather allows and it doesn't go on trips. Enjoy yours!

Nice looking car with great mods!!

What are the specs of your TE37s? They look perfect! Unlike those wheels that poke out too much.
