just wanted to say hi
i'm strongly considering buying a S2000 and thought i would catch up on my knowledge.
while i'm at if any of you could answer some questions for me that would be great.
i'm 19 and currently own a 2003 TL Type-S that i purchased new, im insured under my parents, and i'm curious if any of you have owned that particular car and how insurance compares to the s2k. i'd be looking to purchase a 00' 01' for under 20k.
btw if any of you guys know a s2000 in that price range in the NJ area let me know.
my next question is what kind of mpg do you guys average in the s2k? I'm looking for the s2k as a commuter. My TL is a bit flashy and i'm looking for the s2k as a car for me to bring to college next year.
thanx for any help

Welcome to the site!!
I don't know how the insurance prices compare (TL to S), but I bought my S when I was 20. The insurance was under my parents name and I was paying about $190. This was with multi-car discount, etc.
My mpg is about 26-27 combined city (35%) and highway (65%). But I'm a mile high here in Colorado and my gas mileage is a little better than sea level. I am by no means easy on my car either .
Hope this helps, Good luck with a search for an S.

26-27 mpg is pretty good, my tl averaged 18-20 (i hit vtech at the very least 5 times a day) so this should be an improvment.
thanks for your help
