need some help car purchase
hello, i am new to the whole s2kI fourms thing and what not. to cut it short and simple i am looking into buying an s2000 and done a bit of research but not enough to know the whole ordeal. i was wondering a various of questions
-how reliable are these cars
-im looking to spend around 6-9k can i get a decent s2k for that price?
-parts for this car.. are they expensive or cheap? this includes fixing any frame damage or damage to the car period.
-lastly, about how many miles can you drive this car before the engine will go bad (i know this can vary on the treatment towards the car..) and is it a good daily driver?
i would greatly apreciate any help or answers to these questions, especially the price part. this car is just absolutely beautiful and i would just seriously thank anyone to give me some advice or answer my questions.
thank you so much.

Very reliable car! It has won numerous awards for it's engine to power ratio, balance, etc. $6-9k will get you one but it'll be over 100k and my guess would be a MY00-01.
Parts are up to you, you can "rice" one or you can spend big bucks doing it right. If you're asking these general questions and then asking about frame damage cost, I question your knowledge about cars. Just buy one that's not damaged.
You said it right^ it all depends on how you drive the car.
My suggestion is to read about an s2000, and use the "search" thread. Many of your questions probably already have topics on them.

I'm in the same boat. I have seen a few S2000 for under $10K. All were 00-01, over 100K miles, and some had rebuilt titles. With this being said, was kind of maintenance should have been completed for one over 100K miles? Timing belt, water pump, spark plugs? Thanks!~

After 100k clutch would most likely have to be replaced. There is no timing belt on the S just a timing chain, which you don't have to replace at 60k like you would with a timing belt.
