My s2k addition went to far
I appear to have ran a S for a few times, I never owned one of my own... I basicaly tried a lot of different cars w/different engines. My addiction is to reliability and to my wallet for the price of gas. So. after I got to try a F20C, I was amazed by the power and drivebility it gave as i ride in to my hometown streets .I noticed a couple of people has gotten hem fit in car like mine. I didnt wandered to much about what I wouldve like to have then, I bough the heart of the beast and I'm currently swapping it in. I tough of a turbo setup to have power but since 250hp near is achievable on a 2L 4 pistons engine running naturally aspirated, WOW!!!, what could I ask for, beeing better than this!? I remebered a high lift 4age from a atlantic formula reving 10500 rpm pushing the same in a N/A form diaplacing 1.6 liter, but street drivability wasnt at its best. The 3sge from a beams was fairly enough but its rareness had making me choose the honda powerplant, w/ more aftermarket support and many more parts available threw dealers and engine shops around. You may have guessed it, but my car is no s2k, it is a AE86 toyota corolla GTS 1987 coupe. I tossed in a set of hayabusa ITB's and I currently finishing my wiring to accomodate the all mighty AEM EMS serie 2 pnp system...and many more cool mods like suspension and 4 pistons mazda rx-7 brakes...etc...
I hope I'm not gooing to be pointed for dooing this swap as many toyota and honda owners consider this a sacrilege.IM just dooing this to bring the best of all worlds together. Think of, no power steering, no A/C, no ABS, nothing to fency but the mecanics only whit the complete basics. That is reliability to its simple state, and thats what Im addicted to, a fully track capable street drivable car.
When someones lives up to his dreams and realize them, thats whats really counts. Ive been threw countless hours of work for this project, I beleive it will see the light by next summer.
