Default My new AP1 NFR!

Hey all,

Just picked up my first S this past weekend! Been lurking on the forums just reading as much as possible for the past few months, and finally found the right car and made my move. The car is an absolute blast, especially coming from a GTO. I may miss the straight line power a little bit, but I'll never look back after my first corner in this. On to the car... Sorry for the cell pics!

Although its got 91k miles on it, the previous owner has taken meticulous care of the car and its got a nearly perfect background check. I went through the entire "what to look for" checklist thread (brought a copy of it with me when I went to see the car), and everything I could check was perfect. I still need to check the retainers at some point, hopefully they aren't cracked... But for now I'll be enjoying every second of owning the car!

Glad to be a part of the S2000 family

Thank you! I honestly couldn't believe how clean it was when I first saw the car- almost forgot about everything I was supposed to check out and bought it on the spot! It's not perfect (has some rock chips in the front bumper and front part of the hood), but for a 9 year old car with 91k miles its pretty unbelievable how good of shape its in.
The only money I need to put into it right now is for tires, and I'm considering upgrading to some nicer wheels while I'm at it... Budget it pretty tight now though, so we'll see how that goes. I know that the tires themselves are far more important than the wheels.

I'm like you, my first S2K and I was VERY HAPPY with the car. Over time I was able to put some mods on, tuck the engine compartment wiring and slam it on Eibach Pro springs.

Good success with your ride....
Cheers mate,

Cheers mate,
Thanks! I'd love to lower the car a little bit in the future, but the roads where I'm living aren't particularly good so I'm going to wait on that until I move just to be safe. So far I've done the clutch interlock bypass and hardwired my valentine one. I've got to get some important stuff out of the way first (new straps and raggtop for the top, fluid changes, seat locks, etc.) and then on to the fun stuff.

Very nice! Check out the members classified area for a good deal on a wheel and tire package. That's what I would do!

Thanks! Yup, I've been staring at the classifieds for a couple days now... Everything is a little out of my range. I really like the RPF1's even though so many people have them, and I'm pretty set on trying the dunlop star specs unless I find a package deal thats too good to pass up. I'll keep looking!

Glad you ended up picking this one up. This is the one out of Carmel, right? A few of us are going to dinner tomorrow (there's a thread in the UMW section), you should bring her out so we can all oogle over her. Three of us are going autoxing on Saturday too - not sure if you wanna break her in right just yet or not, lol. Oh, and I'm selling my NFR Mugen rep HT, lol

PM me if you need anything/have any questions. I travel around Chicago all day and never mind helping a fellow enthusiast out.
