Might have an S2k on Saturday...
So...i've been looking into getting an S2k for several months now. I've already decided that i wanted a new 2007 in Laguna Blue Pearl. Well i might have one on Saturday
I've been working with one specific dealership in the numbers talks. So far, i've been able to get them down to invoice of 2007...which i'm happy with. However, i've told this dealership numerous times that i would really like to find a new 2006 LBP S2k since i know it will be cheaper. Well...the sales guy i dealt with shot out that he could get me a "2007 at 2006 price". Well so far we've only gotten as low as 2007 invoice. REcently, i found one dealer in my area that has a new 2006 in spa yellow. I talked with them, and they said they could give me the 2006 @ invoice ($29,988). WEll...what i'm gonna do this saturday is go back to the other dealership and tell them about this deal and see if they will sell me the 2007 LBP @ the same price that i was offered the 2006.
I hope it all works out...i already have my loan check and i'm ready to use it if they'll go down to my price...
Any additional inputs on how i can leverage this deal would be appreciated

1. Invoice on a 2007 S is pretty good. Going any lower would be possible, but really hard. The "Net" on the '07 is $30,919. That's with dealer holdback taken out. Make sure you ask when they received the car from Honda. If they got the car before 1/4/07, ask another $300 off, since the holdback on older units are 1% higher.
2. The price on the 2006 is high. Really high. I've seen brand new '06s sold for mid-28's. If you want the '06, ask for $28,500, including freight. They will do it eventually.
Hope this helps.
