Looking at an AP1 - is this a good price?
I just found a used 02 Sebring with 66,500 mi near me (Reading, PA) for $12,998. Looks to be in good shape from pics, I'm gonna check it out this week. Just wondering if this price sounds about right for the miles and year.

if you know anyone that can get into auctions you might try pickin one up from there...
I bought an 00 silverstone for 4k earlier this year and then just picked up a gpw 05 with 22k miles for 7700. both were theft and needed parts.
ap1 needed some interior
ap2 needed seats, steering wheel and back then the front and back bumper

ok, thanks for the response. I went to check it out this morning and it was sold on Friday anyways, lol. They just didn't update the website. .....I'd really love an AP2 but AP1 is more affordable and when I get one I'm planning on doing the front bumper conversion.......just started looking around and trying to learn what they go for. I'd die if I found one at an auction!! I gotta check some of those out!

before buying, check out the top for the infamous "soft top tear"...
not to scare you or anything, but if you see it, tell the sales person the top is fkd up and that it costs $3000 to fix (labor and cost)...
that should help you with negotiating it down even further...
you can always go buy a soft top for around $500 and find a local shop to do the top for much less

A few things to consider:
Take a good look at the tires - new ones can easily add close to $1k. Check with your insurance company for rates. And, as lazymashi just said, take a good look at the top. Collectively, these items can make a 'great deal' go sour real quick.

Good luck.

Price seems like it could be about right. Just make sure you know what condition the car is really in. For example, make sure you check the tires and see how old they are. I'd also go to a couple diff places and see what else you can find just so you have something to compare to.
