First post, fitting since I've only been an S2000 owner since Monday. I've utilized s2ki.com for various bits of info, as I was procuring the car, but am only now joining. I've inherited a project that is mechanically sound, but needs paint and bodywork badly so I'm indebted and thankful in advance to all of the help and advice I'm certain to receive on this forum.

It’s a Spa Yellow 2002. It would break the collective heart of this forum to see how this car has been treated as it would break the heart of an animal lover to see hear a heart-rending tale of dog neglect. (I don’t know whether it’s appropriate to go into this history of this car as I know it here, or whether I should start a build thread someplace else?)
At any rate just like many dogs that are neglected and abused and get a good home and come out the other end smelling like a rose, the same is in store for this car, should be a happy ending, this car deserves one.

It's in an appalling state. This was a bank repossession. Some of the "highlights" are: bad Konig wheels, bald tires, no air filter assembly, cheap Taiwanese hood, no front bumper, beat up rear bumper, no steering wheel or airbag, thick black overspray all over the car, a horrible Rio Yellow fast overspray, faded interior, beat up front fenders, rocker panel damage, generally dirty everywhere, hole in the top, etc.. Someone had attempted to install a oil filter mounting boss for a turbo oil feed and return but installed the lines backwards, so the engine was seeing no oil pressure. There was a hole drilled in the oil pan for the return with nothing connected to it. This really is as heart-rending one of those pit bull rescue stories, isn't it?
The jury is out as to whether the car is in good hands, time will tell--but at least it's rescued from one of the worst S2000 owners in the history of s2000s.
